Volunteer Opportunities

Due to changes in Pennsylvania law, we must receive clearances from any volunteer having direct contact with our wrestlers. These volunteer positions include coaches, team moms, and board members. Below are links to the mandated clearances. Copies will not be accepted - we must receive the original copies of the clearances and will make copies. We must receive the Child Abuse Clearance and PA State Police Criminal Record Check from all volunteers in the above mentioned positions. 
If you have lived CONTINUOUSLY in the state of Pennsylvania for the past 10 years you are exempt from the FBI Criminal Background Check, but you must fill out the exemption form below to swear and affirm you have never been convicted of certain disqualifying crimes. If you have lived in Pennsylvania for less than 10 consecutive years, you must complete the FBI Criminal Background check at a cost of $27. The cost is the volunteer's responsibility. This check requires you to get fingerprinted at one of the local facilities who administer this service, includng the LIU in New Oxford and the York Learning Center in York.
Additonally, anyone going into the wrestling room will be required to receive Mandated Reporter Training. Click on the link below for more information.
It is the Pinners' policy to accept clearances from other sports. However, the verification dates on the clearances cannot be more than one year old by the date of our last event or practice.
